TheGoldCollective: How it all Started...

During lockdown in 2021, I really wanted to start doing something for myself, as a new mum. TheGoldCollective was born out of a connection I had to my own jewellery- specifically my mum's thumb ring I wore every single day. I wanted to create special pieces of jewellery that would not only stand the test of time, but would also mean something very special to the people wearing them.  

Starting off small with an Etsy store, I saved up to create my own website and invest in new tools so I could engrave rings. The rings were a huge success, and grew in popularity over social media. In January 2022 I had my first viral video and sold hundreds of rings in one day! People on social media continued to support my brand, and it started to grow and develop from there...

I found the process of hand-stamping when I was looking for affordable ways to engrave and personalise jewellery. It took many attempts and a lot of patience to perfect hand-stamping. It definitely looks easier than it is! That is what makes each piece of jewellery unique and made with a lot of love and thought.
